Home stretch, here we come…

When I was a kid, my mom used to be able to read her book through anything.  That’s where I learned what ‘heads down’ meant, but I didn’t see how grown ups could be so focused.  Well, now I get it.  We’ve been powering through late nights and skipping meals to bring you the absolute best Pogoplug we can.  There are a lot of things that go on behind the scenes when building a new product.
So here we are in the last week of March, and we realized we’ve been so heads down we haven’t said a peep to the outside world!  We finally see the finish line ahead and will share a detailed update for you next week about shipping (and it’s a good one).  We’ve been reading your comments and tweets and really appreciate all of the thoughtful questions and heartfelt excitement, and have taken all the feedback very seriously.  We are looking forward to sharing our new innovation with such a passionate community.

    I ordered a Pogoplug late in February and anxiously check the Pogoplug blog and google to find out about any product updates. I know when people get their pogoplugs they will do very exciting things with them. As my collection of pictures, movies and music grows and I want to continue being mobile, the desire for online access increases. I would love to hear about people’s plans for storing their media collections online for easy access. Can’t wait. Any ideas for using pogoplugs in the classroom with high school students???

    Where’s my Pogoplug? I’ve been charged for it but no communications on when it shipped. I’m getting worried here . . .

      Don’t worry – shipments are starting this week! We’ll send out a detailed schedule tomorrow.

    I can’t wait to use mine so I can wirelessely put movies from my computer onto my external, and then watch them with my xbox. Also it is going to be great to be able to access my drive from anywhere, as my girlfriend lives in NJ. We will always have something to watch without me having to lug my external around. Possibilities are limitless!

    When I pre-ordered this, I was under the impression that I would be charged when it shipped. You did wait 46 days to charge it, but it’s been more than 30 days from the date you charged for the product. :-(

    Anyway, I hope it’s on the way soon.

    Im anxious too! Ive got this new TB drive im dying to plug in! Im also very anxious to brag to all my non pogopluged friends on how easy I can access all my data.

    And now it is yesterday’s tomorrow, and it is no longer March. . . I am really concerned now. My credit card was charged a week ago when it was previously stated that you would not charge credit cards until these things were on the way.

    I have the same concern as John. I could’ve read it wrong, but I believe the purchase confirmation email said that our credit cards would be charged when the pogo plug was shipped, not a week prior.

    hello,
    considering you have my credit card information,
    it would probably make more sense for you to respond to inquiries here instead of delete them. if you are delayed, so be it, but let us know so we don’t think you’re going to take the money and run. you’ve been vague about when exactly this would ship, which is fine, but you’ve already broken a promise (that there would be a schedule sent out yesterday), so you can’t expect us to just twiddle our thumbs without at least a little kernel of actual information from you. please respond.

    I got mine 4/13 and it does everything it was advertised to do, and easily. The hardest part was typing in the alphanumeric code off the sticker.

    If you do only one thing with it, this is really a useful device. Finally move all those digital pictures you’ve been meaning to deal with onto an external hard drive and share them with your family. Create upload folders for your family and they can share with you.
