Announcing Pogoplug Cloud: Cloud storage for your mobile life.

Why shouldn’t sharing a video be exactly as simple as capturing it? Now you don’t have to wait to share content: You can use your mobile phone or other device to stream music, video, pictures, and more to whoever you want, whenever you want.

Sign up directly from any mobile phone, tablet or web browser and immediately receive a free 5GB Pogoplug Cloud. Finally, freedom! You’re no longer required to cart around a pile of connector cables and upload for half an hour just to show your friends pictures of the apartment you’ve viewed. You can send video of your daughter’s play to the rest of the family in Ohio—right from your phone, right after you take the footage.

Pogoplug Cloud also offers secure online storage for your content, so that if the unthinkable happens and you are deprived of your mobile device, you’ll still have all your files. You won’t have to miss a beat.

To break it down: with Pogoplug Cloud, you can

  1. Store: Automatically upload photos and videos from your mobile phone to your Pogoplug Cloud—no sync required.
  2. Share: Instantly share anything in your cloud through email, Facebook, Twitter and Google+ with a single click. Create shared folders and collaborate with friends and colleagues.
  3. Stream: Instantly stream HD videos, photos and music from your Pogoplug Cloud to your phone. See this shared video for yourself.

If the 5GB isn’t enough space for your needs, Pogoplug handily offers options for infinite storage expansion. You can purchase additional storage online, or host a private, unlimited cloud for no monthly fees by buying a Pogoplug box and connecting it to a home or office network. Take a look at our expansion options here.

“Mobile users are asking for more storage for their devices,” said Daniel Putterman, CEO and co-founder of Cloud Engines. “We designed Pogoplug Cloud to give everyone the freedom to interact with all of their personal content straight from their mobile phone.”

Don’t wait to not wait—get your Pogoplug Cloud today and keep on moving.

#TipTuesday – Collaborate to an email group or distribution list

This is a useful workaround suggested by one of our Pogoplug users for sending a share to a large email list. They didn’t want to email all 100+ sharee’s and didn’t want to use a public link because they wanted some password security. You can treat a group email or distribution list exactly like an individual email, here’s how:

- Login to my.pogoplug.com, navigate to the folder or file you want to share, right-click and select ‘Share’.
